Pietro Macaione
Pietro Macaione was born in Palermo in 1996. He graduated with honours from the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo in 2020, with a thesis inspired by Senegalese director Djibril Diop Mambéty, and devised a feature film inspired by his movie Le Franc.
He then built relations with African communities in Palermo and in 2020 he made the short documentary Tagnol for UNICEF and INTERSOS within the U-topia project supervised by Letizia Gullo.
