Antonia Kim present Choon AI movie at RIFF
Antonia Kim director in AI cinema was special guest at the River Film Festival in Padua on 19th July. She presented the AI film Choon, which tells the story of Sammantha Kind, an emotionally fragile young woman suffering from amnesia after a traumatic accident. Under the watchful care of Dr Brayydon Ward, her dedicated yet obsessive therapist, and Archie, a suspicious nurse, Sammantha struggles to rebuild her life.

As layers of deception unravel, Sammantha begins to piece together her forgotten past, leading to a shocking revelation about Brayydon’s true identity. With its gripping twists and deep emotional resonance, Choon explores themes of love, identity, and the fine line between devotion and obsession.
We talked with Ms Kim on her AI movie:
“I am channeling 15 years of experience in broadcasting into AI. My ultimate goal in filmmaking is humanism. I strive to be a pioneer in making AI films that are the most human, for humans, and closest to humanity” explained Ms Kim.

Antonia Kim is a pioneering director in AI-driven cinema. Often referred to as the “Bong Joon-ho of AI cinema” in Korea, she is acclaimed for her emotionally resonant storytelling and innovative use of artificial intelligence in filmmaking.
