Veneto Agora’ Cinema: Federico Massa on educational aspect on documentaries
On Sunday 8th June at Veneto Agora’ Cinema at the Panel Produzione we met Federico Massa a creative producer from AViLab Movie who works daily with authors to write stories that strike the perfect balance between narrative requirements and market demands; he is committed to finding the right strategies to transform ideas into audiovisual products.
Since 2012, he has also been involved in TRAINING both young authors and corporate communication and marketing managers, offering them the benefit of his twenty years of professional experience.
We interviewed Mr. Massa on educational aspect on documentaries:
He worked as a creative producer and director for documentaries and short films (RSI, MIBACT, RAI cinema channel, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Sensi Contemporanei, Triennale di Milano, MART, Regione Veneto, CAI, SAT, Palomar, Museo tridentino di Scienze Naturali, EXPO 2015 – Pavillon Zero). I am also a director for Commercial videos (Lega Calcio Serie B, Tigotà, UPIM, Alì, Banca Intesa, Moncler, Confindustria Vicenza, Terme di Sirmione, BPVi, Veneto Banca, Habanero, Nolita, Blukids, Italchimica, Antonio Carraro, Superjet International, Calcio Padova, Eurointerim, Terzo Millenio, Blue Kleyn & Petrus, Expo Shangai) and Fashion Film.
In 2017, his documentary Oltre il confine, la storia di Ettore Castiglioni (Beyond the Border, the Story of Ettore Castiglioni) was nominated for the Globi d’oro awards and, with 13 international awards, was the most awarded Italian documentary of 2017 according to the website cinemaitaliano.info.
His other works have been presented in various cultural venues, including: Triennale di Milano, MART, EXPO, Torino Film Festival, Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro, Trento Film Festival, Banff Film Festival and Istituto Veneto di Scienza Lettaratura ed Arti.
” One of our objectives as a cultural organisation is to use documentaries to educate young people, both in terms of content in the strict sense, as our documentaries often focus on historical figures, literature and local art, and to educate them in subjects other than audiovisual media, but also to use them as training tools in the field of cinema.”
