Here are the Golden River Awards 2024. Awarded works from Argentina, Germany, India, Iran and Czech Republic. To Italian directors four categories.

Last act of the 18th RiFF 2024. On Sunday during the festival’s closing ceremony, the Golden River Awards were presented, which awarded the winning works in each category. Among those present at the award ceremony was Francesco D’Ascenzo, director of the best documentary (THE FATHER’S PLACE), Stefano Lorenzi, director of the best animated short film (SPRING WALTZ) and Elisa Guidelli, screenwriter of the best short film in the Anthropocene climate section (S’OZZASTRU by Carolina Melis). Videomessages of the other prize-winners were screened.

This is the breakdown of the awards. The jury awarded works from Argentina (International Horizons), Germany (Queer), India (Schools of Cinema), Iran (Anthropocene/Human Rights) and the Czech Republic (Journeys & Borders). Four Italian short films were awarded the Golden River Award in as many categories. In addition of course to Sguardi italiani (winner TILIPIRCHE by Francesco Piras), the Italian award winners are: THE FATHER’S PLACE by Francesco D’Ascenzo (Documentaries), S’OZZASTRU by Carolina Melis (Anthropocene/Climate) and SPRING WALTZ by Stefano Lorenzi and Clelia Catalano (Animation).
