Exposition Fellini Genius of humanity – a tribute to human rights
On 5 October, the Fellini Genius of humanity – a tribute to human rights exhibition, created by the Fellini Foundation at the UN in Geneva, made a stop at the Mikado cultural centre in Annecy. This exhibition, supported by the City of Annecy, was made possible through a partnership between the Fellini Foundation and the Collège d’Evire in Annecy, in particular on the initiative of Marie Deprieck, a film and visual arts teacher. Led by Marie Deprieck, a delegation of teachers and students from Evire College, interested in hosting this exhibition, visited the Visions IV exhibition at the Maison du diable, created by LCC students, in May. They were also welcomed by Rector Xavier Gaillard and Prof. Emmanuelle Fiorina, head of the Atelier du regard course, with a view to establishing links for future cultural and educational collaboration between the two establishments.

In the presence of the deputy mayor of Annecy, Fabien Géry, the headmistress of Collège d’Evire, Patricia Buer, the head of the Mikado, Xavier Depraz, Marie Deprieck and her students, the president of the foundation inaugurated the exhibition, whose scenography was created by the students and teachers of Collège d’Evire. He emphasised the key role played by schools in transmitting the memory of cinema. As for Fellini’s work, it remains eloquent and fascinating, if we are to believe the attendance and interest of the young public at the launch of the retrospective at the Mikado, which presented I Vitelloni to open the exhibition.
This exhibition, presented in a town with a world-famous animation festival, has enabled the Fellini Foundation to establish its first collaboration with the Savoyard town, which is set to develop further.
