Italy, the land of sun, beauty and hospitality, welcomes visitors from all over the world with a flourishing tourist season. While some places have experienced heat peaks, the Ministry of Tourism wants to reassure that these high temperatures remain in seasonal standards and do not constitute a climate emergency. Moreover, isolated storm phenomena have been limited to certain areas and now belong to the past.

The Minister for Tourism, Daniela Santanche, stressed: “Italy is increasingly attractive to international travellers, and the figures prove this. Our high summer temperatures are normal and do not affect our tourism offer, which remains robust, diversified and sustainable. Between sea and mountains, lakes and hills, picturesque villages, hiking trails, amusement parks, spa stations, cultural sites, as well as wine and food bike tours, Italy offers a unique experience adapted to all needs.”

ENIT, the Italian National Tourism Office, says the same thing, as underlined by its Chief Executive Officer Ivana Jelinic: “We want to reassure visitors from all over the world who choose Italy as a summer destination. The climate is perfectly normal for this season of the year, without any particular risk. Come and enjoy Italy in all its splendour, in its most luxurious period.”

Indeed, the tourist season in Italy is booming, with figures well above 2019 for some key sectors. Italy offers a pleasant combination of natural beauty, cultural richness, and an exceptional food, making each trip a unique and memorable experience.

The Ministry of Tourism and ENIT warmly invite travellers from all over the world to discover the diversity and the magic of Italy this summer. Italian tourism professionals have taken steps to ensure a safe and pleasant experience, and everything is in place to welcome visitors in the best possible conditions.
