Everything is ready, in Trieste, for the launch of the TP52 Luna Rossa, scheduled for Sunday, May 13th in Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia at 12.30. The ceremony, organized as part of a “friendship” agreement by the Barcolana, involves all sailing enthusiasts: the launch, in fact, will take place in the most beautiful square of Trieste – the largest in Europe open on the sea – with the possibility to follow it from the ground, but also from the sea, because sailors can approach and enter the San Giusto Basin with their boats to attend the ceremony.

The road will be closed to traffic, and the pianist-composer Remo Anzovino, one of the most original and innovative musicians of the national and international scene, will be the special guest. The music of Anzovino was, in fact, chosen as the “soundtrack” of this highly anticipated appointment and the famous pianist will perform two live pieces. It will be a special preview of his concert scheduled for May 17 at the Teatro Miela, the only stage in the Triveneto of the “Nocturne Tour”.

Many guests are expected in Trieste for the ceremony, which will be preceded by a press conference that Luna Rossa will hold together with the president of Barcolana Mitja Gialuz.

The hull will be winged on the Royal Flush in great advance, and can be admired closely by all fans. Who will participate in the launch by boat can stay in the San Giusto Basin to enjoy the ceremony from the sea.

At the end of the ceremony, for the guests of the team, there will be a lunch prepared by the starred Chefs Matteo Metullio and Davide De Pra and the Resident Chef Alessandro Buffa in the elegant setting of Harry’s Piccolo and Bistrò, in Piazza dell’Unità.

Since his arrival in Porto San Rocco the Luna Rossa crew has worked extensively to assemble and test the new TP52, but also to involve the city in the event: tomorrow, in fact, Vasco Vascotto and other members of the Luna Rossa team will participate at two meetings with the students of the Nautical Institute and the Oberdan High School.

“Thanks to the Barcolana and thanks to Trieste – said Vascotto di Luna Rossa – these days have been special, this city loves sailing deeply, and the Barcolana is spoken and lived practically all year round. It is very nice to be here and to share this great passion that we have in common “.

“Trieste is ready to show Luna Rossa its passion for sailing,” said Gialuz, “and to celebrate the Triestine champions who are part of the crew. I hope that many ship owners choose to come and see the launch with their own boat, even to refer to that Adriatic tradition that reminds us how the various were moments to celebrate, and in all the coastal countries, from Trieste, Istria, Dalmatia , remember the carousels of boats to celebrate the new hull. Our thanks go to the city institutions, the City Council, the Port Authority, the Port Authority and the Prefecture that have accepted this project to support the passion for the sea that is in the DNA of the whole city “.
