The annual Belgian Beer Weekend (Belgisch Bierweekend) is, once again, just around the corner as the first weekend of September is nearing. Behind the scene is the Federation of Belgian Brewers, a worldwide known association with nearly the entire Belgian breweries belonging to it.

Promoting the slogan of this year’s campaign, “Fieres de nos Bières” signifies the display of increased pride for one’s national product of beer – if Belgian beer is so popular around the globe then it is only right to flaunt the rich tradition, flavor and craftsmanship of the country.

Aside from plenty of beer, this event will also remember the patron saint of brewers, Saint Arnould, with a ceremony at the Saint Michael and Gudula Cathedral before the opening to the public at Grand’Place, the center of Brussels. Visitors will discover a wide variety of offerings from small, medium and large breweries. Historical brewery carts and beer wagons along with parades of several bands and brewers’ confraternities can be witnessed during the weekend. Crowds from a local fanfare company will serve as colorful entertainments in their lively historic costumes.

The event will commence on Friday, September 4, 2015 around 18.00 and continues until Sunday night of September 6, 2015.
