The Belgian airline VLM Airlines is the first European airline to have ordered the Russian airliner Sukhoi Superjet 100. Two aircrafts will be receivedby April 2015, while an optionhas been placed on ten additional. So far, the main buyer is Aeroflot.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100 or “Russian Regional Jet”) is the only Russian aircraft to be considered conform to European standards EASA. 88 models have already been built (mainly in Komsomolsk-on-Amur) since its inception in 2008.
