President Benigno Aquino III of the Philippines brought a visit to Brussels on tuesday sept 16th 2014. The meeting took place in the presitgious Castle of Val Duchesse in Auderghem.

President Aquino comes from a famous family of politicians and was sworn in in 2010. He is 54.

He came to deliver an inspiring speech during a meeting organised by Egmont (the Belgian Insititute for International relations).

The president emphasized the need of a good collaboration between EU and Philippines and the issue of regional cooperation in Asia was also discussed.

The numerous audience could ask questions during a question time. A wonderful reception with rhum from the Philippines ended this very important happening.
