THE NEW KOREA CULTURAL CENTER IN BRUSSELS
This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and the European Union, true strategic partner, crowned by the free trade agreement in 2010. We’ll remember that belgian troops went to Korea in 1953 to safeguard the freedom and rights of the south-korean population.
To honor 50 years of friendship between Korea and the European Union, and precisely between Korea and Belgium, the Korean government has this year organized a series of cultural events in Brussels.
A magnificent cultural center was recently inaugurated rue de la Régence in Brussels, in frot of the Sablon church, with the presence of H.E. the Ambassador of South-Korea in Belgium Kim Chang-Beom. The reception was followed by the masterpiece “The Spirit of Korea”, with music and traditional dance which was held at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels.
This cultural center is a place of permanent exhibition and also has a shop of typical food of Korea.
Till 20th December 2013: Exhibition of young Korean artists in Europe.
