A NEW EPP PRESIDENT

After the death of belgian former prime minister Wilfried Martens, the EPP was held without chief.

The European People’s Party, the greatest group in the european parliament elected Joseph DAUL MEP to become the new EPP chairman.

The EPP gathers the parties inspired by the christiandemocracy all over the great continental Europe. EPP has always been an important factor of strengthening the European unity.

Joseph DAUL is a frenchman, from Alsace. He is member of the UMP. Joseph Daul is a longtime serving MEP and is the leader of the group at the EP. He was farmer and has been longtime active in the farmers unions on european level.
