LUXEMBURG PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS: A CHANGE IS AHEAD
Sunday, the voters of Luxemburg went to the polling stations to elect their new parliament (60 seats).
The CSV (christian democrats) of Premier Jean-Claude Juncker had to count three seats less in the house of parliament: 23 (-3). The DP (Liberals) of City of of Luxemburg mayor Xavier Bettel realised a real breakthrough with 4 seats more : 13 (+4).
The LSAP (socialists) stay equal with 13 seats and Die Greng (Green party) has now 6 seats. The little right wing party ADR keeps its 3 seats and Die Linke gets 2 seats in the new House.
A coalition government DP-LSAP-Die Greng is awaited with probably Xavier Bettel as prime minister. The long reign of Jean-Claude Juncker, prime minister since january 20th 1995.
