NEW BUILDING AT THE BRUSSELS REGIONAL PARLIAMENT

A new nearly  passive building has been built at the rue du Lombard in Brussels. it will be part of the brussels regional parliament and will host civil servants for the french speaking members of regional parliament.

The building was presented yesterday during a visit with the Confederation Construction by its architect Marcos Alvarez of architects company SKOPE. This project started eight years ago and the building will be ready to be occupied in september 2013.

This is  a nearly passive building with a so less as possible consumption of energy (K=17, E=55). The energy in the building will be reused and will recirculate into the building. In this sense, the building is quite new and revolutionnary as an architectural project  in Brussels with also a double skin. Voronoid elements constitute the external walls of the building, separated by 40cm of the inner wall.

  1. Thank you Mr Desnerk for your post.
    Some small corrections about the energetic consumption:
    The new headquarter of Brussels’s French Parliament Building is a nearly Passive Building and unfortunately not zero C02 emission building (but not far).
    K=17 / E=55 / and overall consumption is about < 20Kw/h/m2.
    Regards.
