This summer, Brussels will be hosting a new event of international scope. The City of Brussels, the NGO Brussels Flower Carpet and the Ghent Floraliën flower show will be joining forces for Floraliëntime, a large-scale, biennial exhibition of floral and botanical art which will adorn the Grand-Place and the magnificent rooms of the Brussels City Hall with splendidly coloured flowers. This new summer event, the first edition of which will take place from 15 to 18 August 2013 from 10am to 10pm, has just been officially presented by Mayor Freddy Thielemans and alderman Philippe Close.

The bi-annual world flower event, Floralies Gantoises, chaired by Michel Vermaerke will take part. The numerous flower producers will bring their high level expertise to make of the Brussels City hall a flower jewel for 4 days during the Ascension weekend.
