The fourth edition of TUTTOFOOD, the leading italian platform on agri-food sector organised by Fiera Milano, saw a record visitor attendance of 50,210 certified professional operators, with an increase in foreign attendance of 40% (from 122 countries) and domestic attendance increase of 20%.
The initial feedback from the 2,000 exhibitors, who occupied 6 halls and 120 thousand square metres at Fiera Milano, was more than positive. It indicated a widespread satisfaction both in terms of the quality of the exhibition as a whole and, in particular, the high profile of the buyers in attendance, with a strong foreign presence.
“We said it, and we did it: we’re the leading Italian platform for the agri-food sector in terms of international top buyer numbers, and our potential, undergoing continuous growth from the very beginning, expressed itself fully in this record-breaking edition, with two-figure increases on all the numbers, starting with +15% for the exhibition area, +11% for the exhibitors and +25% for the visitors.” stated Enrico Pazzali, CEO of Fiera Milano. “The great satisfaction of all our partners, exhibitors and visitors bears out the value of the strategic vision with which we put TUTTOFOOD together. The partnership with Expo 2015 represent, and will represent, a winning asset, already a component of previous editions and now an integral part of the exhibition. An alliance that will culminate in 2015, when TUTTOFOOD will see its fifth edition running concurrently with the Universal Expo.”
The system with which Fiera Milano selected top buyers on a global basis to network them was the Expo Matching Program (EMP) which permitted the arrangement of more than 6500 appointments with 1,143 top buyers from 80 countries ( USA, Canada, Germany, Russia, Japan).
