THE LAST JOURNEY OF LADY THATCHER
Margaret Thatcher, one of the greatest politicians of the twentieth century left London yesterday for the last time, accompanied by a dense crowd. An evocation.
The body of Margaret Thatcher left the House of Commons, where she served for over 25 years to represent the constituency of Finchley. A black Jaguar took Margaret Thatcher through London for her last journey. The coffin of Margaret Thatcher made a stop at the of St Clements Dane. There she received honors and prayers were said for the repose of his soul.
Horse Guards soldiers in ceremonial dress awaited Lady Thatcher and placed her coffin on a gun carriage. So she joined St Paul’s Cathedral for a very simple ceremony where the bishop of London uttered a homily to track values that Lady Thatcher was faithful throughout his life. A reading was said by David Cameron MP, the first minister.
Numerous former cabinet members of Margaret Thatcher attended: Nigel Lawson, Michael Heseltine, Douglas Hurd, Norman tebbit and others. Former Prime Ministers of Canada, South Africa also wanted to pay tribute to Lady Thatcher. There were more than 2000 attendants.
