BRUSSELS- Croatia will join the European Union on july 1st 2013. This sunday, the countr votes to choose its MEP’s.

In a climate of indifference, Croatia votes this sunday to elect 12 members of the european parliament ahead of Croatia’s arrival into the European Union. These members will retain their seat only for one year. On june 2014, there will be new european elections everywhere in the Union.

The economical crisis in the country made the croations reluctant to enter into the European Union. The independance of the country, fiercely gained after the intra-yougoslavian war is for the croatians a sound remembering for their beloved independance they don’t want to diminish in favor for Brussel’s Europe.
