BIFFF’S MOVIES WILL MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT
Weight is an issue the major part of our society is trying to deal with right now.
With the lack of physical activity and the intake of all the wrong foods almost one in every three people in our society is overweight. You see there are several ways to lose weight but nothing can replace the basic principle: losing weight is about burning more calories than you eat.
Well, next time someone mocks you for watching movies instead of going out for a promenade, point them to the study that asserts watching horror movies is actually good for your health !!
The facts are in: Scientists at the University of Westminster found in of Oct 2012 that
on average people burned 113 calories over 90-minutes of scary film watching; it is the same amount as a 30-minute walk which would off set the calories in a small chocolate bar or the same amount of calories as spending an hour washing windows. Uh, infiniteeeeeely more enjoyable.
Imagine now to have at your disposal two theatres for watching 110 long features, plus a zombie army at the Brussels’ “Parc Royal”, plus a long Night of Horror (“Mama“,”John Dies at the End“,”Fresh Meat” and “Grabbers“), plus a Japanimatio, plus a Vampire Ball, plus two retrospectives (“The “Classic Monsters” and “Neil Jordan Retro”), plus Masterclass, Body Painting and Make-Contests and last but not least the presence of a legion of guests with Dario Argento on the top !
This will happen soon… in Brussels, in the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR) from 2-13 April 2013 where the 31st edition of the BIFFF will take place!!
Remember.. this means that even only a single BIFFF weekend jam-packed with ten or fifteen horror flicks might serve you much better than a trip to the gym.
Yeah, I know, sedentary behaviour is actually a really big risk factor in itself for ill health and obesity… but not if you stand up and walk to the BIFFF Village !!
That’s what you can tell people, anyway, when they call you fat and lazy. Just before to eat them…Thanks, science!
Thanks, BIFFF!

TRIVIA: Hm… How many calories will you loose following the whole BIFFF Diet ? At least the equivalent of a walk of 275 km (the distance from Brussels to Paris).
