FEB.13.2013 – The SNCB(belgian railways) revealed a pluriannual plan 2013-2025 for the railways in Brussels. The importance of Etterbeek station will be growing

In Brussels, there are 3 main stations: Bruxelles-Midi, Bruxelles-Central and Bruxelles-Nord. These are the three most important stations in terms of travellers and commuters every day.

Due to the saturation of the North-South link in Brussels, the SNCB would like to strengthen the importance of the Etterbeek Station, situated on an important point on the Namur-Brussels line and also on the regional network to be set up (deadline delayed unfortunately till 2025).

The Etterbeek station is in connection with tram line 7 and in the heart of the University borough and next to tube stations (Delta) and motorways (direction of Namur). So the location is higly intresting to develop this station between Etterbeek and Ixelles.
