Iran ballistic missile test

Today Iran said  it would never use its ballistic missiles to attack another country but its missile tests are neither part of a nuclear accord with world powers nor a U.N. Security Council resolution endorsing the deal.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif explained Tehran’s concept after a U.S. official said Iran on Sunday test-launched a medium-range ballistic missile that exploded after 630 miles (1,010 km). (Photo: illustration)

Visiting French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault had raised its concerns over the Iranian test, adding that it harmed the international community’s confidence in Tehran and contravened U.N. Security Council Resolution 2231.

Today, 31/1/2017 the U.N. Security Council will hold an emergency meeting Tuesday, at the request of the United States, to discuss Iran’s latest ballistic missile test.
