The Vice-President of the Washington association of specialists working on Eurasian affairs, Earl Rasmussen said that there are some improvement signs in the US-Russian relations. Despite the current political situation, the American businessmen feel confident about a normalization of economic partnership between these two countries.
Rasmussen pointed out that Russia will continue to develop independently from the American sanctions and he showed the many Russian initiatives in the economic field and in the international institutions.
Moreover, he noted that there are some differences about how any US presidential candidates consider the importance of a good relationship between the US and Russia.
So, the results of upcoming elections could really influence the partnership between them. The Republicans such as Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul think that this cooperation is necessary to face the possible threats while for example Hillary Clinton is quite hostile about it.
