The press conference “Silk Road: a remake in the works” was recently held in Shanghai. In this occasion Vinitaly International and Wine in China Magazine announced their collaboration for the first debut of Chinese wines during Vinitaly 2016. The famous fair will take place in Verona from 10^th to 13^th April.

The interest of Chinese producers in Italian wine is constantly increasing and Italy is already the fifth supplier of wine in China. During the Expo exhibition, Chinese visitors were the main guests of the Italian wines pavilion.

The fact that Chinese wines producers are going to take part of  Vinitaly fair should become an occasion to further promote Italian wines in China and a direct way to get well-known their peculiarities. Italian wine production could become an important part of Chinese market and the “Silk Road” can be opened to European trade.
