On the next 27th of September, elections in Catalonia will take place, where in case of victory of the separatists it will be an important step towards independence.

Yesterday, the Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy  said that he is ready to fight against supporters of the separation but within the legal framework. At the same time, Catalans have threatened to declare independence unilaterally.

Supporters of independence of Catalonia hope to obtain an absolute majority in the regional parliament, after which they would initiate the separation procedure from Madrid, but these hopes are only based according to surveys.
