Denmark, that had been ruled by the center-left since 2011, has joined today the shift to the right such as Norway and Finland.

The DPP is situated now as the second political force in the country (behind the Social Democrats) and it has also become the the first Party of the conservative block with more than 21% of the votes.

It is unclear whether this populist party will enter into the government but what we know now is that they will have a  great influece on Danish politics.

After the counting of votes, the center-right won 90 seats in the parliament compared to 85 seats of the center-left of Thorning-Schmidt, who wrongly bet that the economic recovery would give him the reelection.
