This morning, EURELECTRIC, The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group (CLG) and IETA had written to the Climate Action & Energy European Commissioner, Arias Cañete and to the Energy Union vice-president Maroš Šefčovič.

The reason of the letter is to urge them to do everything that is in their power to keep Europe on track for developing a low carbon economy and energy system while carrying plans that revise the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS).

The challenge for the Commissioners is now to decide an appropriate policy environment so then companies will be able to work and play its role based on innovation, investment and cross-sectoral partnerships.

The three companies have announced that these plans should be performed before the summer break.
