On the Pacific Ocean, located in Southeast Asia, there is the Republic of the Philippines. Formed by 7,107 islands that are divided in three different groups, we found its capital in Manila, the second most populous city in the country behind Quezon City.

The islands, mostly covered with rainforest are very rich in natural resources and are one of the areas of greatest biodiversity in the world.

The Republic of Philippines is today a combination of cultures as it was colonized by the Spanish Empire and by the United States in a short period.

Its economy is among the fifty most powerful economies in the world. Its exports are based on electronic products, transport equipment, pretoleum products, clothing and food.

Moreover, thanks to its natural parks and its beautiful scenary it has attracted tourism.
