147 people (mostly students) perished in a terrorist attack in East Kenya, in the Garissa University.
The assault happened on Thursday, early in the morning. At least 5 heavily armed men killed 2 security guards before firing on students. 4 of them wore suicide vests. More than 500 students managed to escape while 79 are now heavily injured. It is said that the terrorists executed everyone, except the Muslims ones.
The government deplores that the university was guarded by only two police officers.
The assault was perpetrated by a Somalian Islamist group called Shebab. Mohammed Mohamud., the headmaster of the assault is still free : Kenyan police offered a $220,000 (£150,000) bounty for him.
