Solar Impulse, hosted by Masdar – Abu Dhabi’s renewable-energy company – will announce details of its round-the-world flight path on January 20th.  Solar Impulse 2 (Si2), the world’s first solar-powered plane able to fly day and night without a drop of fuel, will embark on a 5 month journey to circumnavigate the globe.

Media attendees at Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi, UAE,  will have an exclusive opportunity to meet the Solar Impulse co-founders, aviation pioneers, and pilots Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg. The team will reveal the aircraft’s confirmed flight stop overs and how the pilots intend to endure 120 hour flight legs over oceans and a 32,000 kilometer voyage to ultimately demonstrate the power of innovation and clean technology.
