International creditors against greek budget 2015
Greek budget for 2015, recentely approved by the government of Athens, has not been accepted by the international creditors. Thanks to 155 positive votes, the Greek parliament approved a draft budget for 2015, presented without the international donors approval.
The Greek Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras said that this issue should be voted after the presidential election in February but he did not convince the protesters who are again in the street against budgetary restrictions still claimed by the government.
The protesters want the government to resign because it is no more able to control the situation without approving more cuts in pensions, wages, health and education.
The political situation seems very unstable. The government will have new uncoming problems as the Greek Parliament will soon elect a new president, who needs the support of at least 60% of MPs. This quorum seems very difficult to achieve for the ruling coalition and this budget could be the last positive vote.
