As it  is a tradition in the belgian house of representatives, former prime ministers and former speakers of the House of representatives do have their bust in the Palace of the nation.

Here is the bust  of Herman Van Rompuy (CD & V) who exercised both functions and still our President of the Council of the European Union.

The bust was unveiled in the presence of the speaker of the House, the flemish nationalist Siegfried Bracke, EC former president José Manuel Barroso and many friends of Herman Van Rompuy.
