Efficiency and Innovation for sustainable Information and Communication Technology in the 21st century, sustainable solutions where ICT is the enabler for new ways to reduce CO2 emissions: this is GreenITNet
The main objective of the project is to develop a systematic Green IT policy framework, select, exchange and transfer of good practices and effective policies to be implemented in the EU.
The Final Conference of the Project, which will take place on Wednesday 29th October 2014, from 9.30 to 17.30, at the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, will see the partners of the project illustrating their experiences on the transfer and implementation of good practices focused on green Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and greening by ICT in Europe, and their activities of networking, investigating and selecting policies carried out since 2012.
Participants will be invited to share experiences, cooperation and actions towards effective policies to encourage public and private sectors to implement Green IT actions, as a major new area of activity for local and regional government.
The opportunity to share experiences of different cities in Europe offers a chance of success for new regional policies and the exchange of ideas on new common projects in the field of the innovation and ICT to combat climate change.
