Belgium sends Marianne Thyssen to EU-commission
The belgian politicians who form the next government agreed to introduce Marianne Thyssen as next european commissionner to Jean-Claude Juncker, the chairman of the commission. The deadline was set today by JC Juncker as Belgium was the last country of the Union to send the name of a future EU-comissionner
Marianne Thyssen read law at the University of Leuven (KUL), was advisor of an organisation for companies (UNIZO) and advisor of ministers. She is a member of the european parliament since 1991. She was also president of her party (CD&V ).
