The French National Day, organized by the French Consulate General in Milan in the prestigious setting of the rooms of the “Societa del giardino” in Milan, was celebrated this year with a particular emphasis.

The presence of numerous institutional authorities, diplomatic, political, military, business and many friends of the world of culture, the Consul General of France in Milan, Joel Meyer, accompanied by his wife Zoe, greeted the city, assuming at the same time, the position of  Ambassador to Mauritania.

In their speeches, the mayor of Milan, Mr. Giuliano Pisapia the President of the province, Mr. Podesta and the Consul General of France notably discussed the next major events will be an opportunity to further strengthen the links between French and Italians, especially the Italian Presidency of the European Union, the Universal Exhibition of 2015 and the centenary celebrations of the Great War.
