For their come back the Belgian team was a bit shy in the first half time and blocked by a disciplined Algeria side. The Algeria’s team which on one of them only opportunities; obtained a penalty after Vertonghen’s faults, drawing the arm and Feghouli down.
The reaction of the “Red devils” wasn’t strong enough and the score didn’t change at the half time.
After a word of Marc Wilmots, their coach, Belgium started the second half more enterprisingly. After three consecutives replacements (46’, 58’, 65’) Fellaini, five minutes after he entered, found the target thanks to a great assistance from De Bruyne.
De Bruyne wat really good at defense yesterday. At minute 80’, on another recuperation, he passed the ball to Hazard who offered a great assistance to Dries Mertens who concluded the action with a stunning strike just under the cross bar.
Dominated and running after the ball during almost all the wholegame, Halilhodzic’s team didn’t have the strength and physics to come back in the game and finally lost 2-1.
