The Knesset elected today Reuvin Rivlin as new president of the State of Israel

Reuven RIVLIN (Likoud) won against Meir SHITRIT (Kadima).

He will take the oath in july and.  the former president Shimon Peres will leave office at the end of july. He is 91.
