ALDE-party group chairman in the EP Guy Verhofstadt went to Kiev during the riots to back the fight of the citizens for more freedom.
In Maiden Place, now, fights ceased and an EU-backed agreement was signed between ruling politicians and the opposition.
We can assume that the role of Guy Verhofstadt was very important to cease violence
