The first edition of Congolese Business Awards (CBA ), organized by the Embassy of the DRC in the Benelux and to the European Union, aimed to reward entrepreneurs from the Congolese diaspora. it was held recently during a gala evening at the Hotel Metropole Brussels .
Six entrepreneurs were rewarded. They are active in the following areas: environment, services, business , industry and innovation .
In the environment sector, an award was given to Mr. Olivier Mushiete , CEO of the company NOVACEL , who initiated an integrated reforestation and carbon storage in ibi Village (Maluku). The company NOVACEL was represented at the ceremony by Miss Matinda Mushiete, daughter of the winner and Mr. Gabriel Castel , president of the association ” Friends of Ibi Village .”
The award of the best service was given to Robert Nyondo , who runs a business and a hotel in Kinshasa. Mr. Joseph Ilunga , came from the United States and created a packaging plant. He received the award in the industry. Monique Fodderie Ekila , who runs the restaurant Inzia Brussels is the winner in the business sector. The Innovation Award was awarded to Mr. Samba Dikukila for encoding and traceability , and Mr. Didier Pambia of Optimum Corporate, a communications agency .
The price of beauty care was given to Dr Bisanga , one of the best world specialists of hair transplant for his hair implants.
In his circumstance , H.E. Prof. Henri Mova Sakanyi , Ambassador of the DRC in the Benelux and to the EU , explained the meaning of this ceremony that rewarded businessmen of Congolese origin who have distinguished themselves in their areas of activities. The purpose of such awards, the diplomat said , is to promote the culture of excellence and cause an entrepreneurial development within the Congolese community abroad .
