Recently, H.E. the Ambassador of Lebanon to the Kingdom of Belgium S. MORTADA  received his compatriots and the friends of his country for a reception at the country’s residence.

Lebanon is a country founded in 1920 when France decided to create the Great Lebanon. After the first world war, France received a mandate from the Society of the Nations (the former name of the UN) on territories which were previuously ottoman territories. The ottoman empire was dismantled after 1918.

In 1926, the Republic of Lebanon was created with a constitution and a policital system representing all religions. Lebanon is a beautiful country of 41250000 inhabitants on the eve of the Mediterranean Sea. Since the ’70s lebanon was struck in the turmoil of the Middle-East wars but the situation is far better now.

Lebanon is a country  with a moderate climate. Lebanon has also mountains, ski resorts, good wine and good food  to please curious tourists.
