PEFC is a label that guarantees  that the products of wood come from sustainably managed forests. PEFC is a non-governmental environmental organization and means ‘Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes’. The PEFC system, active in certification for sustainable forest management, is present everywhere in the world and gathers all actors concerned with the forests: environmental organisations, hunters, politicla authorities, nature protection groups, animal protection groups… . Specifically, PEFC is responsible for promoting forest management: environmentally, socially beneficial and economically viable.

The certification is made by independant auditors, in the forests and further down the production chain of wood derivated products (like agendas, paper, furniture, doors…).

In Belgium, about 425 companies received the PEFC label.

Anyone wishing to consume responsibly and contribute to the future of our forests will opt for PEFC certified products!
