B- Fast returns to Belgium after a successful mission

The interdepartmental coordination council  of B -FAST ( Foreign Affairs, Defence, Interior , Health and Development) has unanimously decided on Monday not to perform a second rotation B -FAST in the Philippines. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier reynders indicated that this decision was taken because of international aid arriving  in the region, through the takeover of control of aid by the Philippine authorities and after they have identified a number of NGOs can organize all operations on site for two months.
The Belgian hospital in Tacloban will be supported by the German NGO ” Arbeiter Bund Samaritan ” and the water treatment plant will be transferred to the Philippine authorities .
Team B- Fast will be back in Belgium this weekend . Didier Reynders expresses its satisfaction of the quality work done by the team and  the rapid and effective response of our country to the humanitarian demands.
