An EP event on how to boost growth in the EU, especially in member states that have been affected the most by the crisis, took place in Athens on Monday 4 November.

EP president Martin Schulz was the keynote speaker at the South for Growth event, organised by the European Parliament information offices in Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Spain.

MEPs and journalists from the six co-organising countries discussed how to launch recovery, how EU policies can help to fuel growth and how more and better jobs can be created.
