The world summit of green cities, Ecocity2013, takes place in Nantes.

In this frame, a popular side event was set up to strengthen the consciousness of people for reuse of food products and avoiding wasting food. Therefort, the banqueting of the 5000 was organised to bring everyone together in the former shipyards of Nantes. It was a huge popular success. 7000 people took part and could eat vegetables, soups and green products. Such an event was already organised in London, Lisbon and other cities.
