THE WORLD MAYOR SUMMIT ON CLIMATE CHANGE IN NANTES
Nantes, France, 24 September 2013 – High-level leaders from around the globe will attend the World Mayors Summit on Climate Change on Sept 27th 2013 and Sept 28th 2013. The event will be held back to back with the ECOCITY World summit in European Green Capital Nantes (France).

All mayors present will be invited to sign the Nantes Declaration of Mayors and sub-national Leaders on Climate Change, which calls for a new framework for cities to access global funding in order to expand their vital climate actions, and commits local leaders to closer collaboration with other levels of government, particularly at the national level.
Confirmed attendees include George Ferguson, Mayor of Bristol (United Kingdom) -the future european green city 2015-, James Nxumalo, Mayor of Durban (South Africa), Sukumbhad Paripatha, Governor of Bangkok (Thailand), Frank Cownie, Mayor of Des Moines, Iowa (United States), Yvo de Boer, Special Global Advisor, Climate Change and Sustainability, KPMG, former Executive Secretary UNFCCC, Dr. Naoko Ishii, Chair and CEO of the Global Environment Facility, Philippe de Fontaine Vive Curtaz, Vice-President, European Investment Bank (EIB) and many others.

Over 100 mayors from 30 countries will convene under the patronage of François Hollande, President of the Republic of France and with the support of the French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault who will make the final conference address on saturday noon. Business and financing experts, NGO heads and other stakeholders will be present.

AGW [anthropogenic global warming] might be deservedly on its knees but it is but a smoke screen.
The real danger is Agenda 21 which wants to institute all the things that AGW threatened us with and more. The only thing is that its more subtle – it is creeping into our society as we speak.
In my country it is in our legislation, local government and education.
