Brussels regional member of parliament Bianca Debaets took the press on tour through the refurbished canal area of Brussels.

The occasion for this visit was a paper published in the french newspaper Liberation by their correspondant in Brussels Jean Quatremer.who said that Brussels is a dirty city.

Without denying all the arguments of the french journalist, brussels regional member of paliament Bianca Debaets wanted to show to a group of journalists how Brussels can be vivid en renewed in some areas like the canal district.

This parts of Brussels get new real estate housing projects in front of the canal; there is  the flowering of Tours

& taxis which hosts restaurants, stores, start-ups (and to where tramway will arrive in some years); the area around rue Dansaert  where new stylists, artists, art galleries  and creators are now situated.

Bianca wanted to show to the international press  that there are some reasons to hope, particularly in earlier

left behind areas.
