A SAMARA DELEGATION IN BRUSSELS
BRUSSELS – An important delegation of the regional government of Samara oblast was present yesterday in brussels to introduce belgian companies to their region.
The Samara oblast, in european Russia, is situated abouth 1000 km south-east from Moscow. It contains cities as Samara on the river Volga en Togliatti where Avtovaz produces Lada cars. Samara is the largest city in whole Russia.
Samara was and is already a leading city in the space and aeronautics industry and possesses a long story of spacial and satellite achievements which places this region as a pioneer for space conquest.
The mission was led by Alexander KOBENKOV, deputy head of government of the Samara region and minister for economical development. The mission enclosed mainly various members of the space industry, universities, banks and agrofood industry. They met their belgian counterparts. BtoB meetings took place in the afternoon mainly focusing on the space and automotive industry. The belgian delegation was led by Philippe SUINEN (AWEX/OFI) and this particulary intresting day was organided by BECI and the Chamber of commerce Belgium/Russia-Belarus led by Arkady ARIANOFF, president, and its deputy president Daniel STEVENS.
