BRUSSELS- Prof. Dr. Federiga BINDI was appointed one year ago as general manager of the Instituto Italiano di Cultura in Brussels. We met her to discuss her realisations and hopes.

Prof. Dr. BINDI has Ph D in compared politics, studied also law and international law and wrote lots of academical contributions. She speaks seven languages and is lecturer in Italy and also across the Atlantic in the US. It’s indeed a high-profile who was choosen last year to reawake the IIC and to launch lots of new projects.

Her first year at the IIC was very active. More than 20000 people took part to the various activities of the IIC: courses, theater, cinema-evenings, exhibitions,litterary evenings. In just one year, 134 events were organised and the courses are also booming (sie a latter paper with the courses manager of the IIC). Dr bindi also concluded high level partnerships with other organisations like la Societa Dante Alighieri, Bozar, Piola Libri,…

Kids are never forgotten at the IIC because special evenings and activities are also conceived for them with thematic labs, a garden, a Christmas day and lots of other things

The IIC has an italian speaking library of more than 40000 books which attendants can discover at the IIC.

It’s really a place to be for all lovers of Italy who want to enjoy more of italian culture and its beautiful language
