FEB.26.2013 – Pierre MAINIL, belgian politician from the christian democrats just passed away. he has made great achievements.

Pierre MAINIL was born in 1926.

Pierre MAINIL became christian-democratic senator  from 1977 to 1991 for the constituency Mons-Soignies. In the belgian federal government he was

– secretary of state for walloon matters (1980) ;

– Minister and secretary of state for pensions (1981-1988) ;

– secretary of state for SME’s and self employed. (1988-1992).

Member of the then existing right-wing part of the PSC (social-christian party)called CEPIC, he did a lot to defend the intrests of self-employed and SME’s.

Known as a charmant and refined person, Pierre Mainil was also a voluntary during the 2nd world war. A belgian minister of great value passed away.
