The first edition of  “Greek Fashion and Design Meets Belgium”  will take place on 9^th December in Brussels. The initiative supports a philanthropic cause and aims to create a platform for cultural and business exchange between Greece and Belgium focused on design and fashion.

The event is organized by a Discovering Network asbl, a nonprofit association promoting Greek products, design and creativity, with its team of volunteers, Thisvi Ekmektzoglou Newson, Dora Kodona, Stella Dadammogia, Tina Zournatzi, Domna Paschalidou, Fofi Nikolaides.

The show will gather six designers from Greek and one from Belgium. Greece will be represented by Sophia Kokosalaki, Christina Economou, Stefania Fragista, Evi Grintela, Zeus and Dione, and Vassilis Zoulias. Representing Belgium and making the link between the two countries is the designer Gioia Seghers, an award winning young talent and graduate of  La Cambre.

The main purposes of the events are: business networking, in order to facilitate and build a network between Greek and Belgian entrepreneurs and designers, and social impact to demonstrate how arts and creativity can be solutions to the current economic crisis.

The activities during the event will be the following: Fashion show, reception and pop up shop inauguration for discovering new designers coming from Greece and tasting of Greek wines, under the guidance of experts and sommeliers.
