Harold H. Tittmann Jr. (1893-1981) wrote his memoirs while he was living in the Vatican with his family during four years. Inside the content, he  described the life at the Vatican, where he was doing his activities as diplomat during the war and in a context where the Roman Catholic Church was suffering several difficulties. Moreover, as the book has been edited by his son, it also mentions some of his childhood memories.

On the past event where the presentation was celebrated,  the author greeted the guests with the presence of Vincent Dujardin, President of the Institute of European Studies at the Catholic University of Louvain, who has done the preface showing his interest on Tittmann’s memoirs.

On summer 2004, Harold Tittmann presented for his first time Inside the Vatican of Pius XII in the United States.

Now, 11 years later, the book has been translated to French thanks to Yveline de L’Arbre with the collaboration of Sophie Kaisin.
